James Suckling : Château Mayne Lalande = 90 – 91/100
René Gabriel , Weinwisser: Château Mayne Lalande = 18/20
Extremely dark purple with lavender and violet reflections. Very spicy beginning, first showing cloves, then blackberry bushes and cassis, shows an appealing depth already nasally. On the palate with good muscles, somewhat demanding astringency, against the finale black pepper notes in the extract and blueberries. It has a lot of potential and so it will also require quite a long bottle aging. 2025-2040.
Decanter : Château Mayne Lalande: 88/100
Good plummy cassis fruit – more Moulis than Listrac. An elegant wine.
Le Point, Jacques Dupont : Château Mayne Lalande: 16/20
Very ripe black fruits, fleshy, mellow, velvety tannins, character, black pepper, spices.
Bernard Burtschy : 16/20
The color is dark and the nose oscillates between blackcurrant and blackberry. the wine is dense, nicely woody, full of charm.
Yves Beck, Beckustator : 93-95 / 100
Purplish purple. Seductive bouquet revealing fresh candied fruit and cloves. Airing reveals notes of red fruits and blackcurrant. Delicious and fruity attack. The body has density, structure and well integrated tannins, in symbiosis with acidity. They appear at the end of the mouth and are of the grainy type. A very beautiful wine, juicy and greedy, with excellent aging potential given its racy and lively structure. 2023-2043.
