Cellar visit and wine tasting

Chateau Mayne Lalande opens its doors to share its passion for wine with you. A guided tour of the cellars, the vat room, the grape variety garden and a wine tasting await you in this exceptional place.

Our greatest ambition is to share our passion. Bernard Lartigue , the Médoc winemaker owner of the estate, and his team share their know-how with you. An activity to do around Bordeaux , during a romantic weekend or a gastronomic stay , whatever your level (beginners, amateurs or connoisseurs).

Visit of the cellars and the vat room

We want you to discover our wealth and our profession. The visit of the castle includes a tour of the barrel cellar , the vats (2,000 hectoliters and 480 hectoliters), as well as a detailed explanation of each wine-growing operation. Discover a traditional and authentic Bordeaux vineyard like you’ve never seen before.

The grape garden

Bernard Lartigue, passionate about the vine, has succeeded in creating and perpetuating a “Varietal Garden” which combines varieties of red and white grapes from many French wine regions. About sixty grape varieties are represented there.

During the harvest season, when the grapes reach maturity, they will introduce you to tasting the berries. During the aging period, he will make you discover the grape varieties blended in the wines of Château Mayne Lalande: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, and those of Château Myon de l’Enclos: Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon .

Introduction to wine tasting

red wine tasting awaits you at the end of the visit, in the wine tasting room adjoining the winemaker’s private cellar, to discover unique and elegant wines. Follow us on this wine journey and discover the greatest wines of the Médoc. This initiation to tasting is a unique experience.
