PRIMEURS 2018

Bernard Burtschy, Bordeaux, les primeurs 2018, July 2019: Château Mayne Lalande 2018 = 90 – 91 and Château Myon de l’Enclos 2018 = 88 – 89

Château Mayne Lalande 90 – 91: The color is dark garnet with a tempting nose of red fruits. The wine is of good density, the maturity is a little tight hence the tannins a little drying, but the concentration will dominate them. The wine was made with 60% cabernet sauvignon, 30% merlot, 5% petit verdot and 5% cabernet franc.

Château Myon de l’Enclos 88 – 89: A wine of good density with mellowness and charm, well constructed, produced on five hectares with half Merlot, half Cabernet Sauvignon.

Yves Beck, Beckustator, April 2019: Château Mayne Lalande 2018 = 93/100

Purplish purple. What a beautiful expression of the bouquet with fruity and floral notes. On the palate, the wine is compact, dense, creamy and endowed with precise tannins, with fine grains which confer a suave touch; A pleasant, convincing, powerful and fine wine. Great success.

James Suckling, April 2019: Château Mayne Lalande 2018 = 92/100

A fresh and lightly chewy young red with blackberry and light tobacco character. Medium body, firm tannins and a fresh finish.

Bettane and Desseauve: Mayne Lalande 2018 = 15/20

With a nose with roasted accents, this generous and ripe wine has a lot of depth and a very tasty persistence.

Green wine: Château Mayne Lalande 2018 = 91/100

Le Point: Bordeaux, the 2018 vintage, Jacques Dupont: Château Mayne Lalande 2018 = 14.5 / 20

Woody, black fruits, fairly supple tannins on the palate, fresh, nice fruit, the woody notes a little blocking the finish at this stage but should develop well.

Weinwisser: Château Mayne Lalande 2018: 17.5 / 20
